005 • Final Fights

General Summary

Woken by Comet's screams early in the morning, the party found a giant spider and a handful of other bed bugs ambushing them! They defend themselves from these jungle critters, scavenge what they can from their bodies, and finish their night's rest.

Petrus fought a vengeful Centipede.

DAY FIVE OF TRAVEL Finally nearing the end of their journey through the Gorge, the party has a renewed spirit as the greenery becomes more lush and the air becomes clearer. They decide to rename the owlbear cublet GEORGEY in honor of their time through the Gorge—also because some of them kept mistkenly calling him Petrus. Georgey didn't sleep too well the night before so he was cranky and fussy during the day. Shortly after failing some training with him, Ren noticed some creatures down the road that didn't notice them yet. He warned the party and they began fighting a Basilisk mother and her child. Nixx basically one-shotted the child with an assist from Iris while Petrus got the finishing blow on the mother. Once that shenanigan was over, the party grabbed some parts of the monstrous bodies and finally exited The Gorge and got their first sight of the glittering Lucidean Ocean and their long-awaited destination, the port city of Nicodranas.
