A type of shapeshifter that turns into a seal once their bodies are fully submersed in water and a human once they're fully on land.

Normal to Wild Blood standards; besides common discoloration in the skin (greyish/paler skin than normal) human form can have grey freckle-like patterns speckled all over the body.

Social Structure
Selkies are independent creatures and only live in packs or groups where they are the only selkie among them (ex. Group of harbor seals swimming with the leader of the group, who of which is a selkie)
Selkies are looked down upon by any species of Walrus for unknown reasons. Regular seals with no powers look up to the Selkies as guides and caretakers.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
If a selkie is predominantly white, they will appear to have a grey tint. In rare occasions when a selkie is mixed-race or of color, they will always have grey specks scattered around. Grey and brown freckles and specks are commonly seen scattered among the body.
