Gary

Gary

Gary is a hitchhiker that was swept onto the Oddstar when the ship was jumping between realities. After a dubious introduction, Gary joined the crew as the second member who was not officially invited to play Which Where by the Game Master. He is also the only crewmember without a specific duty and instead helps out as he is needed.   Gary acts on whatever whim suits him with little to no concern for convention. He is unpredictable, sometimes to the group's great benefit...and sometimes not. The eccentric fellow also became obsessed with Master Chess upon joining the team and is often found searching for more unique chess pieces across the multiverse.

Quotes & Catchphrases
"OWWW MY BALLLLS!"
“I thought you liked EGG.   “I like him, alright,” the oddball replied. “I just don’t like the thought of a robot watching me ever since that one time I woke up on a human farm.”   Will and Shelly pivoted to give Gary their full attention, eyes wide.   “Human farm?” Shelly asked.   “It was packed with hundreds of us—thousands,” the man in the Hawaiian shirt explained. “We were all under the control of machine overlords. I managed to escape.”   Will’s mouth hung agape.   “How?”   “I was rescued by a resistance force of other escaped humans. You see, the machines used a simulation to keep us all complacent, unaware of our imprisonment. The rebels showed me the truth, so I joined up to help their cause.”   “That’s incredible,” Shelly said, thoroughly entranced by Gary’s story. “What happened?”   “We used our knowledge and hacking skills to manipulate the simulation,” Gary continued. “I was chosen to free our people from the machines’ control; to shatter the illusion they’d been fed.”   “I—I had no idea,” commented Shelly. “I’d always wondered where you came from before all this, but I never imagined—”   “Gary,” Will cut her off, “that’s the plot of The Matrix.”   Gary grinned wide, his mustache bristling his lips.   “I fucking jumped inside a guy and made him explode!”   “That was Keanu Reeves.”   “I’m pretty sure that was me.”   “No, it wasn’t.”   “Oh? Then explain this!”   Gary bent backward like he was in a limbo competition. He waved his arms about in mock slow-motion before collapsing on his back.
