Carrion Cresthill

Carrion Cresthill, not as bad as the name suggests. The people here are friendly, if not intimidating. The streets are safe and the sky is as blue as the ocean deep. The only real reason why its got such a scary name is all of the dead animal carcasses that keep showing up.   We're not too sure where they come from, all we know is that their deaths aren't anything natural. Lots of animals show up with signs of knives and claw marks but investigations have brought no such progress in finding out who's been killing the animals. Though, one witness claims that they saw a "scary, hairless Fjord with blue eyes and dark skin. He was big, really big but his arms were so skinny and lanky." No other sightings of a tall and skinny Fjord have been reported but it is something to be worried about.   But these carcasses have been showing up since the Golden Years, there's nothing to fear.

Demographics

Carrion street is largely composed of Eveks and Aven. Very few Sturmis and Fjords live in this area, the temperature is just too humid for them.   Most of the people who live here are rather middle class, the few poor people that live here live in a cozy little shelter called "Ms. Pendleton's home for the homeless". Though, some stories suggest that it's not as kind as it sounds. "Ms. Pendleton likes to eat her guests!" or "Ms. Pendleton is the carcass killer!" are rather common stories amongst the youth.   Missing homeless people under her care seem to suggest this but the security cameras within her building and eyewitness reports from staff and residents seem to prove that Ms. Pendleton really is just a sweet old lady. But we can't be too sure now can we?

Infrastructure

Carrion street is unique in that it's sewers also process carcasses. Whenever a body is found, a city worker will produce a large tool to open up special "Carcass chute" to dispose of it. The carcass is then filtered into the local river where scavengers will feed on the body.   There have been no reports of a human body being thrown into a chute, (thankfully) but the town has security measures to combat this if it ever does become a problem.   Each Corpse Chute is fitted with a fingerprint scanner. The Corpse Chutes are safe to have around, nobody but the city can get in them. Right?

History

Carrion Cresthill was first founded by Willis K Crest. When Crest first planted his flag and staked his claim, more and more bodies showed up. At first it was nothing new, they lived near Rotho Harbor, bodies were bound to happen. But weeks became months and a pattern started to form. The bodies all had knife marks in addition to claw marks.   And thus, Carrion was added to Cresthill

Architecture

Simplistic, what you would expect from a normal town. Nothing to write home about.   Except for the rotten bloodstains.

Geography

Carrion Cresthill is placed smack dab in between Rotho Harbor and Marblewood Forrest. Nothing too important to mention other than the fact that theres an entire river filled with scavenger fish.
