When the World Stopped Making Sense

Created by

Long ago, most people on this world lived in great cities made up of glass towers. They had riches, knowledge, power and ambitions beyond what most today would just dream of. Their lust for more knowledge, more power and more pleasure led them to places where men were never suppoused to go, and when they noticed that, it was alredy too late.   It started out simple. Fog began covering the great cities of glass, and nobody in there ever came out.   Things the men of old saw merely as myths or superstition made themselves as clear as day, and all the knowledge mankind possessed of this world became lost or obsolete. With most humans dead or hiding in terror, the world once again became a place unknown, "here be monsters" once again filled the maps, not always out of ignorance this time.   Humanity hid, in a world which seemed to violate all rules they were subject to. A millenia of fear and confusion passed until all was forgotten. Eventually, mankind began forgetting the fear too. They began to rebuild this world once again reclaimed by nature, hunting creatures that priests of old would have seen as Satan's spawn, exploring places their forefathers feared more than death itself.   Millenia passed, once more, and humanity once again began establishing itself in the fringes of this new world. Kingdoms and tribes dotted the lands, with vast expanses of untouched wilderness in the middle.   Humanity endured, as it always does, but this world is not the same as the one before. Not since the day when the world stopped making sense.
