Officially, a Deputy is anyone who the Sheriff decides can help enforce the laws of Brimstone. The promoted can come from any background with the only limitation that at-large criminals are disqualified from the position.

Career Progression

More permanent Deputies can attain some status and official powers assuming they perform to the Sheriff's specification.

Payment & Reimbursement

Payment varies and is decided entirely by the Sheriff. Deputies are officially entitled no pay.
