Catgirls are female members of the Kemonomimi race. In Faerun, folk of this type are called Tabaxi, but this is actually the name of the largest Faerunian tribe of Kemonomimi, and is technically incorrect when used for folk of this continent, although the disposition of Catgirls and Catboys means that they are unlikely to show offence.

The correct name for New World Kemonomimi folk is Nekomimi, but hey will often introduce themselves as Catgirls and Catboys. The Nekomini homeland in this continent is Lurus

There are far more females than males of the species, due to the inherent sexism of the DM, who is not a closeted furry, as far as he knows.
