Sun Forge

Few creations of such efficiency can also boast such beauty. Taking the unintentional form of a great white tree, the Sun Forge is a dwarven masterpiece that serves as the second most powerful of the three great forges.   Acting as massive leaves are countless mirrors and lenses to bend and redirect light both collected from above and reflected from the surrounding town. This light is redirected into the central column so that a single beam of light may be directed to an anvil made from a transparent meteorite known as the star's tear. Craftsmen from around the world pay massive sums to use this forge.  Once a year on the longest sunniest day of the summer the power of the sun is so great that the forge can be used to create the legendary material known as Sunsteel.

Purpose / Function

To generate revenue for the city of Barrow Point.

Alterations

This started as a small private forge. But after the idea was adopted to expand the mirror array citywide, the nobility purchased it. Laws that paid citizens for adding mirrors to their property added to the scale of the project causing it to tower well over the much less impressive castle. There is even a rumor of it being weaponized in case of emergencies.

Architecture

It resembles a large white and silver tree that is always shining in the sun. The trunk made from solid white stone, while the branches and leaves are countless lenses and mirrors.

History

Build originally by the gifted blacksmith Arrorn, but adopted by the city of Barrow point to augment finances. This caused the ever expanding complex light system for the forge. The only remaining original peice is the single mirror that all the light is focused on before forming the final beam. As well as the clear anvil known as the Star's Tear.
