In its most commonly found state, existing in a constant flux between solid and plasma, due to its irregularity in density and constant exposure to the extreme heat of Ilman's Sun. This enigmatic duality mirrors the cosmic origins attributed to Magmanium by learned scholars, who speculate that it is a celestial amalgamation of energies hailing from both the Sun Domain and the Eloran Plane, born at the inception of Ilman's Sun.
Magmanium's hybrid form makes it especially powerful for magic attunement, as even in its solid state, enchantments and spells can flow through small plasma rivers in the metal. The metal's unique magical properties have made it one of the most sought-after metals in all of Elora. Moreover, the metal contains Astral properties, connection to the Sun Domain, that while not fully understood by Elorans, can create immensely powerful effects.

Besides its magical and meteral properties, Magmanium also holds certain religious values for followers of many sun, fire, and plasma gods. Worshipers venerate the metal as either being a part of the god they worship, or some sacred artifect sent to Elora by the god. The fire god Ilzo is said to don a full suit of Magmanium armor in battle, and a magmanium chestplate is the symbol of his followers.
