Moon Tree

Moon Trees are a gargantuan tree which as far as anyone knows only grows in on the island home of the Metal Elves. They have a large leaf the the local inhabitants use for the wrapping of food stuffs to help them keep. The tree produces a large fruit(about the size of a small cantaloupe) that contains all meets all nutritional needs. The fruit appears as a large pearlescent globe. The flesh when cut open is firm and iridescent white. The fruit is buoyant and will float on water. The skin is quite tough and can withstand falls from great heights. The fruit will endure as long as the flesh is not pierced. The seeds are about the size of a fist and are edible as well. Most of the fruit contain unfertile seeds. When a fruit has a Fertile seed it is bluish. The Metal Elves do not allow fertile seeded fruits to leave their island. The Metal Elves Make their homes in the vast trees. Along with using all parts of the tree for most of their clothing and furniture and tools. Metal Elves live solely on the fruit of the Moon Tree when they are home.
