Delnar (The High Elder)

Leader. Servant. Father to all Iskari.

Leader of the Iskari High Council, Delnar, also known as The High Elder is the Keeper of The Key and Watcher of the Sands. It's been a long time since there has been an Iskari with the ability to watch the sands of the Pinnacle. Delnar is able to understand the flow and connection of events within the various grains. As the head of the council, Delnar is also charged with the protection of the Ithari when a hero is unavailable.

Delnar was accepted into the University of Magic and stidied there for three consecutive years until his duties to his people became the priority.

Employment

As the High Elder of the Iskari High Council, it is required to support one's self so as not to be an undue burden upon the shoulders of the people. In addition to working directly with the people in matters of counsel and judgment, Delnar is known for his skills in both agriculture and animal husbandry.

Accomplishments & Achievements

At the age of 32, Delanr was chosen to succeed Elder Tamman as the new High Elder. This was a considerable honor, for rarely has a new High Elder been called outside the existing body of the Iskari Council. Yet what amazed the people further still, was the unanimous vote of the Council to support that very decision. It has been whispered that the main reason for this was Delnars connection to the sands of The Pinnacle--which had not been seen for over one hundred years.

Failures & Embarrassments

Though Delnar sought to hide Council movements from the sight of Mahan, the decsion to send the messenger Dax for the hero, resulted in the kidnapping of Wendell P. Dipmier. The events surrounding the arrival of the new hero damaged the reputation of Delnar considerably among his peers and fellow Council members. This is particularly true concerning his son, Shea, who was called specifically to identify The Hero before bestowing the Ithari.
