R'lyeh
The Drowned City
IA! IA! Cthulhu F'tagn!
R'lyeh is the drowned home of Cthulhu and his Starspawn, slumbering until the time when his dreams are interrupted and R'lyeh will rise from the sea. A dead place, of broken buildings, vast, drowned plazas, and the remnants of once-great palaces, the city-continent of R'lyeh lies hidden on the bottom of the ocean, drowned yet caught in breathable air.
Geography
R'lyeh has been completely worked by skilled landscapers, in order to build the now-dead city that sits atop it. At its edges, ports and beaches can still be found, blasted and broken like the rest of the city. It is mostly flat, but towards what would be the north of the landmass the ground rises until the Spire of Cthulhu, the great tower wherein the Great Old One slumbers. The ruined city within its gaze is a drowned and blasted ruin, with crumbling buildings, half-collapsed temples and palaces, and echoing, empty plazas filled with sea water.
Fauna & Flora
There are no terrestrial creatures that live within R'lyeh. Only the eldritch monsters of the Mythos live within its dead halls, such as the Deep Ones, the Starspawn, shoggoths, and even some mad Gnorri. some sea creatures and plants may live within, as a food source for the dread things that roam the drowned halls, but nothing of note.
