Vynalia

Vynalia is the homebrew setting for an ongoing Pathfinder RPG game I run.   The continent is mostly controlled by the kingdom of the Tri-Capital, a union of the three major powers that ruled most of the known world in the previous eras. After much discussion and coercion, the three finally agreed to join into one powerful union for safety from future wars, for increased trade, and to bolster their people against the many monsters and otherworldly threats all citizens of any but the largest and most fortified towns face.   The continent is home to a nearly limitless variety of creatures and interesting locations, many long forgotten or barely understood by most of its inhabitants.   The land has a tumultuous past, many parts of it being plagued by the rise of several powerful evils over the eras. Regardless, heroes have always risen to the challenge, and the major races have withstood, becoming gradually more unified against such threats.   Yet even still, many evils brew beneath the surface, under the notice of the overreaching empire as it struggles to keep its people unified and under its rule.
