Samantha Kaze Kyuba (a.k.a. Sam)

Older sister of Salton Kyuba, Samantha was a gruff, and brash girl uninterested in looking “pretty.” She loved her family with all her heart, even if she didn’t show it a lot. Samantha was usually the one who dealt with Salton and his misadventures in his childhood. She used to be a sweet girl, a lot like her sister Rachel, but in In 14629, Samantha’s mother and father had gone off to leave for a secluded shaman in the forest to help with her mother’s pregnancy. A month passed and a search party was sent to find them. The search party had found her fathers corpse. They had assumed that her mother was also killed even if they couldn’t find her corpse. This devastated Samantha, and she knew she had to take care of her siblings. She quit her baker apprenticeship, and became a guard to provide for her family.
The struggles Samantha had to go through changed her into a gruff and unsocial girl. She did keep her friends, and loved her siblings. But it was always permeated by a feeling of depression and tiredness.
One day, a boy came to town, and she fell head over heels for him. They then became a couple, and he made her believe he loved her and would always be with her. Poor girl fell for it. After getting what he wanted from her, he skipped town, never looking back. Samantha was absolutely devastated, and she became untrusting of people, and suspicious of boys. This betray had also permanently stifled her ability to talk to boys.
The day she was going to tell Salton that she was a wujaneist, her village was attacked by the Red Hand, and she died in the raid. Her final act was to pray for her brother, and that he has a much happier life then her.
She has been watching Salton from Yambesel, and knowing that he’s going to do great things, and that they’re going to meet again.

Personal history

Born in 14617 in Crystal Brooke to Deneres and Konera Kyuba, Samantha was an only child till her little brother Salton was born. She originally didn’t like her brother due to all the attention he got instead of her, but he eventually managed to endear himself. She met her best friend Sere after Samantha beat up some kids who were picking on Sere for being a half elf, and they quickly hit it off, usually forcefully dressing up Salton. Much to his chagrin.
When she was ten, Samantha was allowed to attend the festival of Fysi, and had become devout to Fysi as a result. 
When she was eleven, her sister Rachel was born. Dealing with Salton had made Samantha a master at dealing with younger siblings, as Rachel was delegated as a princess who needed rescue in the games she played with her siblings.
One day, her parents talked to her privately. They told her they thought she was ready for a important family secret. Her mother and father revealed to her they were Wujaneists, and that they hoped that she would join them. When pressed as to why they hid their faith, they explained that Wujaneism was seen as a radical foreign cult, and that they could be killed if their faith was ever exposed. Samantha at first was hesitant, but after reading some religious texts, and myths in Wujaneism, she agreed to convert. She had been converted right then and there by her parents, and she hoped to one day bring her siblings into the faith.
