The Poel'ritark: The Dark Elves of Vhosparus
Basic Information
Ecology and Habitats
The Poel'ritark came from a vast continent on the equator that was mostly desert. Many speculate that it was once a part of Novus Ardonia before the Great Storm struck and it sunk to become the Ritish Sea.
Additional Information
Social Structure
The Poel'ritark were ruled by a being known as Eternus. Eternus was thought to be a Poel that had achieved immortality and used their infinite wisdom and charity to rule their people alongside a council. Not many of the Poel'ritark were considered peasantry. They tended to follow in the footsteps of their parents or grandparents, taking up their careers where they left off. Despite how incredibly powerful they were, they lacked a sizable population. They believed that the fewer mouths there were to feed, the easier it was to advance as a collective society, so most had no more than 2-3 children over the period of their lengthy lives. There were commoners and nobles, of course, but the most valuable citizens were the soldiers known as the Qartis (or conquistador). They were the ones who would find new lands to provide to their people new homes at the cost of destroying, enslaving, or otherwise killing a civilization or native populous that may have lived there previously.

Culture and Cultural Heritage
The Poel'ritark's heritage is a decedent of the other Poelan races. The race as a whole valued mutual respect, and it was considered incredibly rude to not address someone by all of their titles unless given permission. Aedilona was said to be the patron deity of the Poel'ritark, for much of her symbolism was seen on their arms and armor.
History
The history of the Poel'ritark is vastly unrecorded by any species other than their own. Most civilizations today knew that they were fierce and cruel conquerers that took whatever they pleased in the name of their immortal leader, Eternus.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Poel'ritark thought themselves superior to all other races of Vhosparus and considered it treacherous to associate with another race due to the fear of having their culture muddled with another.
