Taking their name from the peculiar formation of five oddly circular islands of varying sizes that form a loose southward arc, with the largest of the islands at the center, the Medallion Isles have long been known as a home for crooks, thieves and pirates. Despite being a large port area and trading hub, many say that you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Lying not far from the Frellian city of Hopo ab Rasemu, the Medallion isles serve as the launching point for research efforts and adventures into Vorania since the re-emergence. While the criminal elements are powerful here and operate openly, legitimate business still thrives among the people, and many people make a reasonably, honest living from the travelers that pass through.
