The holy amulet holds many properties and is always in the possession of the Saint

History

The amulet is passed down from saint to saint, it is how a new saint is recognized by the church. In the past however, explicitly during The Southern Cataclysm, if the amulet was lost Neie would bless the next Saint and it would be their mission to retrieve it.
