Pierre-Anthoine Roux

Pierre-Anthoine Roux

Pierre-Anthoine Roux is an Artificer, hailing from the city of Misttop. Once an orphan trying to find a place in this large world, is now a skilled blacksmith, thanks to her adoptive father, and a creator of magical conduits, she is gifted in mind and body.   Pierre-Anthoine's journey through Vlandrick is a simple one, to find Jean-Luc Brauner and bring him home, and if possible can find the bastard who scarred her face and memories.... Elias.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Pierre-Anthoine has a sinewy yet curvy physique, possessing toned muscles - which stands as odd when compared to others in her field of expertise - and stands at a solid 5'10" (6' in her heels).
When she has free time outside of tinkering and work, she will train to keep herself in peak condition.

Body Features

Due to an unfortunate incident while exploring an abandoned Grand Svayatt, Pierre-Anthoine lost the entirety of her left arm. It has now since been replaced with a mechanical one, silver in colour with purple 'veins' adorning it.

Facial Features

The biggest and most notable feature that Pierre-Anthoine has is the large burn scar which covers a large portion of her face on the left-side as well as a scar over her the corner of her right eye.
She has a petit nose, which has a very little point to it. Her cheeks are also dappled with little freckles, and though badly scarred, you can still see faint freckles on the left side of her face.
She was born with a slight defect in which her ears don't point upwards like a typically elf, but instead point outwards and slightly down.

Identifying Characteristics

Pierre-Anthoine's biggest identifier is her hair, a juxtaposition from most other Drow, her platinum white hair ombres into an orange Citrine colour - a trait which she shares with her late father.
Apart from her obvious facial scars, she has many donning the surface of her body. Most of the ones on her arms are defensive wounds from a confrontation in the past, this which also dismembered two of her fingers. Her left shoulder, upper arm and back are horribly burned and scarred.

Apparel & Accessories

Pierre-Anthoine's fore focus of her apparel is more so practical versus fashionable.
She dons a pair of peculiar glasses. They are golden in colour and have two smaller darker lenses above the main lenses, to lessen the intensity of the sun in her eyes.
She is more commonly seen in her travelling attire, which pertains an ankle length, navy and gold-trimmed, trench coat, which she has sewn leather padding throughout to make it sturdier if combat were to ensue. This is on top of a dark blue/purple shirt (originally belonging to Jean-Luc), and dark purple pants tucked into thigh high, red leather, and heeled boots.
The gauntlet that she wears is custom made one which is referred to as "Suisse", it is made from an old "Ascenders Manoeuvring Gauntlet" and is a pivotal component in a few of her "spells". She also wears a red leather necklace with 2 rings (1 silver, 1 gold) attached to it.

Personal history

1357   Born on the 6th of Deepwinter, Pierre-Anthoine's story began in tragedy with her Father, Jacques Inquieta, succumbing to the Crystalic Cough mere days before her birth.   1362   During the Melting, her Mother, Marie Inquieta, left a 5-year-old Pierre on the steps of the Church of the Moonweaver. Hoping she'd have a better life than what she could've given her... the grief of losing Jacques was too much to bare, Marie was found two days later having left the Material Plane to join her lost lover.   By the end of Highsun, Pierre-Anthoine would met a Annabeth and Gilligan Lalei, Half-Orc twins that would be placed in the same room as her.   1365   At the beginning of Summertide, whilst out on a group outing with one of the sisters of the church to the Artisan's Distract, Pierre-Anthoine observed the crafters and blacksmiths work away, thus a love for mechanics and crafting was born. After this, she began crafting small gadgets and toys for the younger children.   By the Rotting, Pierre-Anthoine would meet a young aasimar boy, Jean-Luc Brauner and his mother, Karina, a Tiefling. Her first friend outside of the orphanage.   1368 At noon of her 11th birthday, she stumbled across the Pecked Steel Smithy, run by Hugo Roux, a gnomish man with a prosthetic hand. They make introductions and have brief conversation, during which Hugo offers Pierre an invitation to come to smithy and learn how to be a blacksmith, to which she happily accepts.   After a weeks of training and teaching Pierre-Anthoine, Hugo started to build a fatherly bond with her, something he has not felt since the death of his son, Antonio, many moons ago... from there on he begins the process of adopting the young drow.   By the dusk of the 15th of The Claw of Winter, Pierre-Anthoine is adopted into the Roux family.     1371   A tielfing and older brother of Jean-Luc, Elias Brauner, arrives on Misstop.   1372   Throughout the year, Pierre-Anthoine and Jean-Luc begin to hang out more and more. Both in and out of school, and whenever Pierre wasn't working with her father. Jean-Luc would purchase a navy blue and gold trench coat for Pierre, and she would buy the pair matching rings one Silver for Jean-Luc and one Gold for herself.   1375   Shortly after her 18th birthday, Pierre-Anthoine would gift Jean-Luc and Elias a short sword and dagger, respectively, as a token of friendship and for Jean-Luc, a congratulations on beginning his journey into becoming an Ascender.   However their dreams would only shatter within days of the gifting...   The city guards arrive at the Blacksmith with a dagger in hand...a dagger one of its kind, her first one ever made, the one she had made for Elias. The guards questioned if she knew of Elias' whereabouts or if she had any contact with him or his brother, but she sat there silently tears forming in her eyes. Unable to process this Pierre begins to search for Jean-Luc, taking her prototype hooked blades with her...after half an hour she finds them...somewhere only she and Jean-Luc knew about, a tree with no leaves hidden amongst the others.   Pierre finds the brothers in the midst of a heated argument, about the recent murder that happened a day prior, a murder done by the hands of Elias. Jean-Luc fumbles and stutters trying to explain to her what had happened and that he had nothing to do with his brother or with his actions... But Elias had an easier way of explaining things, and that was not at all. Elias relentlessly attacked Pierre again and again, hacking away at her arms, dismembering are ring and pinkie finger from her right hand. Jean-Luc was paralysed unable to move, in shock that his brother was attacking the girl that he had loved since they were children...he could do nothing but stare in shock, an action he would deem traitorous.   Pierre would manage one slash down the left side of his face, scarring his eye from forehead to chin and cutting his horn down to a nub. To which he responded, with a burst of blue flame that would engulf her burning, the left side of her face and shoulder near down to the bone. Pierre would then fall unconscious, Jean-Luc would break out of his paralysis and rush to her side trying to heal her with his minimal abilities, but Elias would drag him away and off the side of Misttop... Jean-Luc leaving only his silver ring behind...   Pierre-Anthoine's life slowly began to fade... her eyes began to close... She could see her mother... Her heart stopped.   Then she heard many hurried voices, "total dismemberment of the 4th and 5th fingers, irreparable", "the left eye is nearly gone, her face is down to the bone" and the blood curdling screams of her father and her friends, Annabeth and Gilligan.     A month passed, a now conscious Pierre, informed the guards of what had happened that night and that Elias was in sent by the Underland Druids, to cause some havoc and learn the ways of Misttop in the hopes to take down the city, literally.   Elias had a bounty placed on him for conspiring against the city, and Jean-Luc was declared missing.   Over the next 6 years, Pierre-Anthoine begins to train in swordsmanship and furthers her skills in smithing and tinkering. Working as a conduit creator in a Magic Mechanics Shop and during her non-working days she helps her father in the blacksmith.     1381   Her father gifts her with an old, broken Ascenders gauntlet, which once belonged to his son, who sadly passed away a few years back. Pierre uses this broken gauntlet to create a wrist mounted crossbow, which uses the old wire spool to help reload the bolts, and even become hidden when folded away.   On a hot summers night, Pierre was stirred from her trance after hearing a voice within her room. At a quick glance, she saw nothing but a faint glow from her window, walking towards it she saw a single glowing, blood-stained feather drifting past, and a letter with her name written in on it with familiar handwriting... Jean-Luc. At that moment, Pierre-Anthoine decided to pack her bag and take her first steps outside the gates of Misttop and finally step on the land below.   Pierre-Anthoine Roux sets off to hunt down Elias Brauner and bring him back to Misttop to face a fair trial and find Jean-Luc to bring him back to her.
