Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Venomfang was a large, green dragon with cysts covering his body. The cysts ranged from being around the size of a human hand to the size of a human head.

Identifying Characteristics

Mysterious Cysts

Venomfang was covered in green cysts. When Astariah Whitflow healed him of this ailment, he grew in size. Upon his death, however, his body shrunk and the cysts came back. It is unknown what caused these cysts.

The Dragon Cult

Venomfang successfully ruled over a Draconic Cult for an unknown amount of time. His cult amassed a sizeable hoard for him and wreaked havoc in the southwestern area of the Province of Vild'Thorel.

Killing Kost

He successfully led an attack to kill the necromancer Kost. It is assumed that he did this after Kost sent the Virtuous VII to wipe out a cult camp.

Failures & Embarrassments

Escaped Insects

He failed to eliminate the Virtuous VII when he encountered them at Kost's tower. This failure would later lead to his downfall.

Butchered Assassination

He sent one of his sons to eliminate the Virtuous VII in the city of Garlshore. His son alerted the party when he noisily killed the innkeeper and bouncer of the inn they were staying at. The party dispatched Venomfang's son and the Empire began investigating his cult.

Defeat

On 25 Flus 654 he was attacked by the Virtuous VII, his son, and the people of Phandalin. He was shot out of the sky by Farbirk Ironanchor and died before crashing into the mountain below.

Social

Family Ties

He had at least two sons. One of them died in a fight with the Virtuous VII in an inn. The other, named Vrok, betrayed Venomfang by leading the Virtuous VII to his lair. Vrok was killed by the Virtuous VII during the ensuing fight.

Religious Views

It is assumed that he worshipped Tiamat.

Venomfang had a hoard that included gemstones, jewelry, weapons, magic items, and thousands of coins.
