Mechanistic Eye

Floating observation devices which are essentially highly specialized floating Gollums. The simplest possible mechanistic Eye would include a floating capability, a sensing wand tuned to at least a single type of target, and the ability to scout in a set pattern and return to a set location to display the sensing wand’s readings. At their most advanced they may include arrangers enabling complex targeting and search logic, spyglasses to extend the range of sensing wands, and even short-ranged farcast capability to send sensing wand readings to a set base station. As with gollums, the use of mechanistic Eyes has been in decline in recent years with the rising cost and scarcity of crystal.
