Vicilague

  On the continent of Voalus lies the accursed earth of the once glorious Vicilague. Now laid to waste by vile greed and treachery and malice. The once open and thriving trading center of Voalus has since become a heavily bordered wasteland to which few gains accessibility. Exeuntance from the realm is ground for treason and execution or... worse. But within those guarded armaments scientific prowess, mana and the occult have concocted a threat far beyond the economical, militia and governmental issues on the surface. And also... them. Strange creatures can be seen wandering the countryside as the result of a virulent biochemical weapon that has been quickly spreading through the general populous. All creatures that enter contact with this magical-mega-virus become infected and turn into lich-like eldritch abominations. These perturbed abstractions of reality lurch forth into the night to feed upon the mana energy flowing through the souls of all living creatures, by fatal means. Families burn the corpses of their prior companions daily to prevent infection, a false cure is propagated throughout the land and sold at an extortionate price whilst an even more potent threat lies in wait, right at the heart (or more accurately, stomach) of the bleeding central state. Can anyone save this land from the tyranny of the state and the nocturnal hauntings of the night? Why don't we find out.   Join me on this adventure through scientific experimentation, magical exertion and maniacal execution. Oh! and tentacles!!!
