Trarsk

Trarsk is a small sleepy little hamlet in the mid-northwest of Veturoth, focused mostly on agriculture, with a few tradesmen.   The only really notable locations in Trarsk include the Blacktooth Bar & Inn, a small, non-descript inn with a giant black dragon tooth sitting behind the counter, operated by a squat man with a very impressive black beard named Jebb the Dragonslayer, and the temple to Josbrunar, an imposing stone building with a giant chimney shaped like a dragon's maw, operated by High Shaman Talisyl Blackbrook, a lean elf rarely ever seen without the antlered helmet that marks him as High Shaman.

Demographics

Predominantly human, with a few elves and halflings, and one half-orc.

Government

Though technically under the dominion of the Jarl of Narheim, Trarsk is predominantly operated by a small town council of elders from local families.

Defences

Trarsk is not a town designed for defense. In times of strife, most citizens retreat to the church of Josbrunar, which is a sturdily built stone building atop the town's highest hill.

Industry & Trade

Trarsk's main industry is agriculture, and most other industries produce enough only to allow the town to remain self-sufficient, though its brewery does export small amounts of Trarskan Icehill Stout. It is not a particularly wealthy town.

Geography

Trarsk lies in the sparsely wooded hills that give way the tundra of Veturoth's north. The land is not particularly fertile, nor the weather particularly kind, but it is suitable enough for agriculture, and the mining done in nearby Rejka and the lumber from the southern forests ensures there is not great want for resources. Its water comes from the nearby Vanndor Lake.
