Veteris Residential

High Class/Town Center

The center of town holds vast space for the monthly market and is full of life and chatter when the market is in session. Whether you live closer to here or not, residents of Veteris come here for day to day errands. Shops that sell old goods from the market, banks and the mailing office, and craftsmen (wood, metal, glass) sell their wares. Those in the wealthier areas of Veteris have easy access to services and first dibs on goods unless those further out venture our earlier and faster.   The school is nestled in a corner, a few blocks away from the center and in the middle of the wealthier residents. There is only one school and all the children of Veteris can attend, but those who are wealthier are much closer and can easily attend everyday with no issues.   The homes found here are made of brick and mortar, imported from the capital, sturdy and insulated for those hot summer days and cold winter nights. They’re newer despite the town’s age because of the renovation of town center after the outlaw of Praxism to get rid of the architectural ties to the religion.

Lower Class

The homes furthest away from town center are closest to the forest clearing. Not many people venture out here unless they live there or need to venture into Silva for trades with the non human communities.   The area around here is generally believed to be cursed and tainted from Praxist practices, especially with the proximity to the old church. A lot of laborers live here because of how close it is to go out and collect their wares (wood, fish, etc.). The homes are old and almost become one with the grasses and vines that grow over and between the cracks of the wood panels.   Residents here are generally older families who have been in Veteris for ages. They’re more superstitious and traditional.
