Geoffrey Chaucer (a.k.a. Chaucer)
Geoffrey Chaucer is a commoner in Veteris. He is a man with a family: a wife and two kids, a boy and a girl. During the day, Chaucer works as a wine maker. He grows his own grapes and brews his own wine. On top of that, he also makes wine in bulk and delivers it to the local taverns in not only Veteris, but in other villages around Veteris as well. During his off days, Chaucer writes stories and poems. Chaucer has even released some of his stories. His most popular one is The Canterbury Tales. Chaucer is, allegedly, not religious, but he does have high respect for religion. He does support those who are religious, but he also understands that religious leaders can be corrupt. Sometimes Chaucer is even seen in religious gatherings. Chaucer is a very educated and literate man. He often teaches people and species alike of all ages how to read and write in such a sophisticated manner. Due to Chaucer's ability to speak in such a sophisticated manner, Chaucer is able to get connections and develop these acquaintance relationship with the wealthy class and government officials. Chaucer is a very calm and collected person. He does not raise his voice and would much rather negotiate an agreement rather than raise his fists. That does not mean that Chaucer won't throw a punch if he needed to, though. Chaucer is a decently strong and tough guy. He is both brains and brawn.

Chaucer is a healthy middle-aged man that can do the average man's work. He always is willing to help others, so he is a little stronger and larger than most other men.

Chaucer has a large goatee.

Chaucer always wears a headpiece that covers his head, so nobody really knows how long his hair is.

Personal history
Chaucer grew up in a family of wine makers. His father, John Chaucer, wanted his son to follow in his footsteps as the next heir to the family business. Chaucer's family owned a lot of different properties for the business. Chaucer had a huge affinity for his family business. Fortunately for John Chaucer, Geoffrey Chaucer did follow in his footsteps. However, Geoffrey did not inherit his father's business. Instead, he wanted his younger brother of two years to inherit it while Geoffrey went to create his own version of wine. John Chaucer accepted the proposal and let Geoffrey on his way. Sometimes, Geoffrey and his father send each other their versions of wine.
Education
Chaucer did not go to school, but due to his father's connections he was able to learn from the government officials. Chaucer was fascinated by the English language and decided to focus on that.
