Ossuarat

An Ossuarat is a member of Vodranti culture that is skilled in the direction and manipulation of ivory. With sufficient skill, they can use it offensively, with a sizeable splinter of Ivory directed into the body can be rapidly expanded, ripping through the flesh.
The victims of a combative Ossuarat do not simply die. They are violently ripped apart by the ivory 'tree', and these cultures store their tortured psyche within them, forever. An Ossuarian garden is the aftermath of combat with an Ossuarat, with shredded gore sticking to beautiful, semi-organic structures containing the wailing screams of the dead.
The ossuarat rarely needs to fight. The ivory, slithering around their body like a snake, is an effective deterrent.
Some Vodranti legions refuse to utilize ivory offensively- they see it as a perversion of the material's purpose, and as morally depraved.
Nonetheless, the shade formed is useful for information retrieval nonetheless if one of the victims happens to be an officer or something of that sort. Yet extraction is a difficult process, as the human mind is a complicated thing.
