Emuna

23 And so we must give high praise unto God for his many blessings. 24 For the blueprints and relics salvaged from the epochal age of man has shown extensive promise, and I have already begun the repair process. 25 The old order of metallurgists (the Ferron) have preserved Emuna armor from ages past, and I believe there is much to be learned from their work. 26 For as you already know, few things in all of creation can rival the Emuna's extensive protective capabilities. 27 I have sent diagrams of the necessary information unto you, my most faithful Archionate Assembly.

Emuna armor is a type of powered armor unique to the Vodranti Legions and Vodranti Hierarchy at large. Utilizing forging techniques and materials unknown to those outside of the forges of the Vodranti Ferron, the Emuna represents the full prowess of the Legions' metallurgy skill.
The Emuna is primarily designed for combat in space, inside or outside a spaceship. Magboot systems allow for adaptation to a zero-gravity environment, and full-body insulation regulates temperature from exterior force. Extensive hydropreservation systems ensure longevity in an environment where water may prove scarce.
Emuna as a word is derived from the X̼X̼ayu (If human, pronounce as "zai-you") word for "faith". However, the Vodranti word for "faith" is far different from our own, contemporary understanding of it. The original word in Xxayu is "enamahu", or "divine understanding". Specifically, however, it is in "god-tense", which is a tense in Xxayu used when addressing the Vodranti God, Ar+++++. Enamahu as a word is used to describe the understanding of God, His works, His will, and His way. It is not based on reason, but on understanding the innate nature of the universe, and through that nature and the understanding thereof, one can, as the Vodranti claim, find God. So by "understanding" God, the Vodranti have faith in His ability to protect them. The Emuna armor is simply a more...physical, tangible manifestation of that protection that does not rely on extensive prayer. The Vodranti, however, pray anyway. The circuitry in the Emuna is Ivory, an infovore nanomachine hive. By contact with the suit, the ivory copies over and replicates the user's memories and consciousness. Over time, the suit essentially has a duplicate of the user inside its circuitry. As the suit is passed down between generations, the bearer will have millennia's worth of warriors speaking to them. This is known as a "Rashet", a machine-shade, and a similar condition affects the gun operators on ships, since they link their brain to the gun itself. The ships eventually become a hivemind of its crew, past and present. However, the ivory has to be pruned regularly, to prevent rapid and potentially dangerous expansion. Eventually, the ivory branches slowly dig into the user's skin, seeping into their flesh, into the bone, and into the brain, in the pursuit of information.  Once the user is bound to the suit, they become a Sepulchre.
