Dzharchi

A "Dzharchi" (pl. Dzharchi) is a herald of the Yauu in non-executive affairs. As representatives of the Empress, Dzharchis have a significant degree of power and influence wherever they are assigned and report the circumstances of their assignment for the Yauu to record and analyze.
A Dzharchi is usually assigned to a Legion or a particularly influential Bonyad conglomerate as both a messager of the Yauu's Will and a lobbyist to guide leaders along the path the Empress desires, and reporting to Ceres if they refuse to obey. A Dzharchi receives no salary, is forbidden from owning land, and are often limited in ownership of private property. Whoever they are delegated to is expected to provide this. Loyalty to the Empress is ensured by indoctrination and a lighter form of Catechism before elder Dzharchi.
Dzharchi are often pasigraphs, trained from birth by the Pasigraph Order of the Levant above Ceres. This pasigraphy is specialized in the many "strains" of the Vodranti language, as Dzharchis are ambassadors only to other Vodranti, not to other factions. Some claim that the Dzharchi skill in language is strong enough to influence an individual's action and will, but these rumors are unconfirmed.
Dzharchi are often deacons of the Libratian faith, and are well informed on several rituals and usually present for religious affairs as well.
