Areit̠̗

Areit̠̗ (pronounced /ˈɛəriːt͡s/) Vodrant is the term for those born on colonies close to the equator of Mars. They possess a far darker skin color, normally Cardovan, a dark reddish color. However, those more exposed to the Sun may have a skin tone closer to that of Rosewood, a deep reddish-brown. They also possess far less body hair, which is now less of an adaptation and more of a cultural removal of hair. Very few Areit̠̗ are not bald, but growing facial hair is not unheard of. They are somewhat shorter than their spaceborne counterparts and more broad-shouldered. Their ears are more rounded but still possess their signature sharpness.

They speak X̼x̼ayu, and tend to utilize the t̠̗ over t when speaking, making a distince "ots-a" when making a 'ts' sound.
