Power Core

Power Cores are one of the Conflux's greatest kept secrets and one of their greatest assets.

Utility

power cores are usually used to power large vehicles. One core can power a hover tank for around three weeks of total run time before requiring a replacement power core. Other, less conventional uses include wiring the power core into a feedback loop and lobbing it like a grenade into an enclosed space, whereupon it will explode, maiming any creatures within a significant radius, and emit a small EMP that will destroy any unprotected electronics within a few dozen feet.

Access & Availability

Power cores are a closely guarded military secret. The only power core factories currently in use are within the Conflux capitol, under tight guard. The products are from there shipped too all cities across the empire to be utilized by Enforcement. For enforcement to allow any power core to be utilized or even examined by a civilian at any point would be a severe breach of protocol and the responsible party would be at least court marshaled and at worst executed on the spot.
All Conflux power cores are equipped with a self-destruct mechanism that destroys the interior workings of the device as soon as it runs out of power or the outer shell is broken. This way even if a rouge faction were to obtain one, reverse-engineering the manufacturing process would be tricky.
