Adjudicators

The Adjudicators, also known as the Keepers of the Code or the Bone Masks are a cult that operates in most cities in Verloren.

Made up of the poorer folk in Verloren, the Adjudicators are a cult that bring an ancient justice to those they find to be sinners. Their favorite form of justice is Trial by Combat.

The Adjudicators will tell you that they uphold an ancient, higher form of justice where you were only as good as your word and the strength of your arm. In reality, they are a cult, dealing in everything from extortion to bodyguarding. They do deal justice, and there are those in the cult that would hold to the core values of the cult and nothing else.

Rumor has it that the cult found ancient writings in abandoned settlements in the Great Dune Sea. This has been disputed by scholars, especially those in Osinore and Elmwave as this would mean that the Great Dune Sea was once hospitable, which most think impossible. Still, the rumor remains, and it draws many downtrodden people towards the Adjudicators cause.
