Beatrix has spent the better part of 3 days racking her brain over the mystery that is..Ghunk. What is Ghunk, why does the small fey quickling known as Sabeane follow this...Ghunk? Her curiosity had gotten the better of her but she decided to await for her compatriot, Theados to revisit and scope out the cave for Dorfax, one of the caravan leaders.   Theados introduces Beatrix to one of his many new friends, Norixius and tell him of the mystery of Ghunk. Overhearing this potential for adventure, Jor Halden asked the group if he could join their march to the cave   When they arrived at the cave, the entered it slowly to discover it cut deep into this hillside. Beatrix scouted ahead and lead the party to a sharp incline not-to-cleverly covered in oil to make it slick, but they manage to bypass it bringing them to a fork in the cavern. Upon crossing the room, Norixius activated a slightly-more-cleverly disguised trip wire connected to a jar filled with bees. He was not amused.   The continued down the right fork and found barrels of fermenting purplish white fungus in pungent liquid and a slate table for drying out the fungi. Theados tried one dose these fungi and felt some...interesting affect. He took some doses as well did Norixius.   They group doubled back down the other path and discovered a door, painted on the wall with a riddle above it. They shouted out answers to the riddle, warning the creatures further in. Ghunk, a bugbear, ordered his small team of goblins to prepare and attack as the adventurers came around the corner. The fight did not end well for the Bugbear, but not before felling Beatrix. Jor bandaged her wounds but was more concerns for finding gold among the corpses. After much pleading, Theados convinced Jor to help him carry Beatrix. Norixuis ran back to town to fetch a cart to aid her return to camp. She was healed at a cost to Theados. Theados informed Dorfax of Ghunk and the now empty cave and the dried fungus. 1/18/1420 Evening.
