Crimson Creeper "Meat Moss" is a mutated subversion of Yellow Musk Creeper that has become invasive in Cour'Caligo. It will consume any living creature of try to infest them in order to spread even further. The crimson creeper is a dark purplish-red, nearly black, with a bulbous black flower that swells and spews out the spores that infect nearby creatures, turning them into puppets of the crimson creeper, zombies, mere shells of their former selves. The crimson creeper corruption follows the progression of the Hive Corruption rules.
Patches of the Crimson Creeper can function as per the Flytrap Haunt.
The Crimson Creeper was intentionally mutated by @cr intending not to release it but to study. During an experiment, Crispen was distracted by hearing Calling of his Hag mother. This Calling caught him off guard causing him to expose himself to the toxin of the mutated Crimson Creeper. The amount was not fatal, and he was able to forge a psychic connection to the carnivorous plant and its thrawls. Crispen can exert control over a number of Crimson Creeper Zombies equal to the number of his own HD. If Crispen takes control over any more zombies than that, then he immediately loses control of another random zombie.
