The Forge
The forge is a small studio set back from the main drag of Verdan in which Plover Aderin(Blacksmith), the blacksmith, does all of his crafting. The shop consists of a small storefront, where Plover sells his art and meets with customers. behind the shop is a room about 12 feet in every dimension that is the workshop. On the left side, the walls are covered with rows and rows of half-finished and finished projects. Most depict religious scenes, but some, like the large ornate fire tongs, were passion projects. On the right side of the workshop, there are a pair of anvils spaced out with a vice clamp next to each. Heavy hammers, tongs, and other shaping tools lined the walls and some of the favorites sat precariously on the anvils. in the middle of the workshop was a large cobblestone collum with a tunnel running through it at about hip height, the forge itself. Fire raged within the forge and the openings were covered with large rocks that had been flattened on two faces for stability. The stones could be pushed out of the way when metal needed to be placed in the flames but would keep heat in when the forge was not immediately in use.
