Gender Ideals
Dependent on culture
Courtship Ideals
In general, a Qelb is not courted; their parent is. The parent decides who the individual will marry. On average, three dates are required to convince a parent to allow one to marry their child. The parent may well impose conditions on the marriage; be it a dowry to be paid up front, or a minimum of children to be had by a certain time.
Relationship Ideals
In general, Qelb do not get divorced. If a husband and wife are unhappy with one another, the entire extended family is expected to intervene (which can and often does lead to squabbles)
Qelb cannot breed with other races except for humans. Human/Qelb relationships are held to the same standard as Qelb/Qelb relationships, but male Humans must put in extra effort in keeping the parents of their bride happy.
Homosexuality is generally not tolerated or accepted. A Qelb that admits to Homosexuality may be exiled from the family, which to a Qelb is a fate worse than death. Qelb in homosexual relationships are often shuned at best, killed at worst.
Qelb are strictly monogamous. A Qelb caught cheating on their spouse will be put to death. The cheated spouse will then be free to marry again.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Human/Qelb: Very good in general. Humans enjoy equal rights and freedoms in Qelb dominated nations and vice versa. However, many Valencian nations view the Qelb as savages and thus discriminate against them.
Elf/Qelb: Many Elves look down on the Qelb living in Mare Arboreas, seeing them as outsiders at best, invaders at worst. Qelb in general are not allowed in areas dominated by Elves, though some do make exceptions.
Pokklekul/Qelb: The Qelb and Pokklekul share a genial relationship in the continent of Valencia.
Uil/Qelb: Neutral.
Cochon/Qelb: Many Cochon find good employment opportunities in nations ruled by Qelb.
Baabite/Qelb: The Qelb in general permit the Baabite to practice their customs and religions in their nations. The Baabite kingdom of Daveed also has solid relationships with most Qelb nations.
Kukulkanite/Qelb: Tense.
Awilixian/Qelb: Tense.
Shenlong/Qelb: Many Qelb hold positions of power in ShenLongGuo. The Shenlong typically tolerate the Qelb the same as they tolerate the other races.
