Anatomy

Elves have flat teeth, bright colored hair, pointed ears, and sharp features. Their innards are incapable of digesting meat, so they are strict vegans.

Genetics and Reproduction

A male and a female Elf are needed to produce a baby. When the woman gives birth, the Elven community gets together to raise the baby as one of their own.

Elves live on average to be 500 years old.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves live strictly in dense forests and jungles. The silence of the forests helps protect their very sensitive hearing. Elves that live in human cities risk losing their hearing permanently.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Elves are strictly vegan and only eat fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. Valencian Elven cuisine is often criticized for tasting bland, but the Elves of Ifé have developed a rather palatable Vegan cuisine.

In Valencia, thinness is normal. The ideal is long hair and clear skin.
In Ife, thinness is also normal. The ideal, however, is full lips and long legs for women, strong build and no hair for men.

Men and Women are considered equals in Elven society.

Elves only mate to produce children. Elves prioritize communal unity over personal relationships, but deep connections between two individuals is not frowned upon. However, unlike Humans, romance is considered "a fun thing to have" rather than "something to strive for."

King Ljus of Pinevale- (b. 1250 MCE, d. 1601 MCE) Last king of the independent Pinevale. His attempt at murdering a Grand Witch led to the Magic Council killing him and integrating Pinevale into the nation of Heorot.
Grand Witch Akeela of the Misty Falls (b. 12 MCE, d. 561 MCE) First Elven Grand Witch to be from Ifé, first Grand Witch born after the foundation of the Magic Council.

Common Myths and Legends

In Ashanti, the Elves worship spirits known as the "Loa," which are said to be intermediaries between Mortals and Gods.
In Valencia, Elves worship nature spirits known as the "Fae."

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans/Elves- Some Elves are known to fall in love with Humans, and vice versa. They can produce a Hybrid species called Half-Elf.
Pokklekul/Elves- Elves and Pokklekul are distantly related, sharing common ancestry.
Uil/Elves- The Elves and the Uil of Mare Arboreas tend to hold civil relationships with one another.
Gaggle/Elves- The Elves of Heorot tend to be uninvolved with the politics of said nation beyond the Moot, hence the frosty relationship between them and the highly involved Gaggles.
Bulungi/Elves- The Elves and the Bulungi share the jungles of Ashanti, co-ruling the land in peace and harmony.
