Ember Coast Republic

The Ember Coast is the modern day cultural remnant of the Infernos Empire. When the Fire Heart of the Infernos Empire shattered, the the empire was engulfed in the Dire Blaze. Those that survived the Blaze were forever changed by the magic and are no longer recognizable as asimar. With the Empire being turned into an inhospitable desert of red sand, many Infernos fled their homeland. However many stayed along the coast which was not as damaged by the magic blaze. Eventually the scattered coastal settlements formed the Ember Coast Republic. The port cities of the Ember Coast are a unique site. New construction build over the old ruins of an ancient empire. Due to the oppressive history of the conquering Infernos Empire many people distrust the Empire’s descendants. The scattered Infernos around the world often have to resort to thievery or mercenary work to survive, adding to this negative reputation. The Ember Coast is one of the few places where Infernos can call home. While the Ember Coast does not have many resources they are trying to find their place in the global trade. Ember leadership wish to improve the image of the Infernos to the rest of the world. Foreign Infernos often call the Embers naive. There is a great debate over whether Infernos artifacts should be exported. Currently such artifacts are not sold as they cannot be acquired without violence. The Pyre Nomads will attack anyone pillaging the old empire ruins. Some believe these valuable artifacts are their heritage and should be left where they are, while others wish to remove the nomads and profit from these treasure troves.
