Geography

Physical Geography

Tromost is an inhospitable icy wasteland. The shorelines shift from flat frozen steppes to jagged ice cliffs. Further inland are barren wastelands and colossal ice mountains.

The extreme conditions make it impossible for most species to travel far inland, making the geography beyond a certain point unknown.

Climatology

Temperatures on the coastline rarely go above -50°c, and are far colder inland. Wind speeds of 200km/h are frequent. Snowfall is common, but their frequency seemingly varies between regions.

The veils active above southern Tromost grant most the coastal regions 40% daylight and 60% darkness. This day/light distribution appears to be fairly consistent among most of the shore, while the total amount of daylight decreases further inland

Northern-Lights

A unique occurrence concerning the veils above Tromost are the special colorations appearing in the skies, best visible at night time. These "waves of colored light" gently wave around in the sky for hours on end. All colors on the color spectrum have been observed but green and purple are most common. This phenomenon can be observable from far away, namely from the northern coasts of Kurast and Yonkton, and can rarely flow over into some of these southern skies..

Cultures

The Boreos Horde

The direct descendants of the ancient ice age cultists of entropy, converged into a militaristic culture of raiders, warriors and hunter-gatherers. They carve out a harsh existence living in various outposts on the shorline of Tromost.
Central to the hordes way of life is their worship of the Lord of Ethropy, an immensely powerful deity that they believe resides at the extreme north of the world. They believe that as long as they stick true to their lords doctrines, they will be rewarded by becoming the sole bearers of the seed of existence, to repopulate after entropy has ended this iteration of the universe.
