Rohleder

An insane, nigh-immortal warrior created by Gerhardt, who sought to kill his creator.

History

Rohleder appears to have been a member of the Solarian Blades of the Setting Sun, an elite knightly order that took part in the Magdar War. At an unknown time, he was experimented on by Gerhardt and became immortal. For reasons unknown, he has since sought to find and kill Gerhardt, even going as far as to attack those who carry items connected to the man.

Recent History

The party was contracted to kill Rohleder by Ilarion Yershov. According to the lord, Rohleder had attacked the effectively laid siege to the village of Yershov, believing Gerhardt was hiding in the village despite having apparently left weeks ago. Previously, several teams of mercenaries had been sent out to kill Rohleder including Vetrovnjaks, Highlanders, and even a Blood Hunter, but all disappeared and were presumed to have been killed.
After some investigation, the party found that the influence of Morena, Goddess of Winter and Death, still seemed to hold some sway over Rohleder as he seemed unable to pass through thresholds marked by Morena. With the assistance of the Daughters of Morena, the party was able to modify their weapons to perform blood sacrifices to Morena and call upon her magic. After ambushing Rohleder and decapitating him, the party brought his body to the village.
Once inside the temple of Morena, Rohleder's headless body attempted to rise and escape. However, Vulcan's use of one of the enchanted blades was able to briefly incapacitate the body once more. Following that, the party witnessed a manifestation of Morena, who reaped Rohleder's soul and killed him permanently.
