Horobr

Polkan is a dog-headed horobr who fought under the Rurikid banner during the Conquest of Gränsland. Like his comrades, Polkan is supposedly immortal.

History

Alongside his comrades Dobrynya, Ilya, Alyosha, Natasya, Vasilia, and Svyatogor, Polkan served under the Gorazd Kingdom during the Era of Isolation, where their exploits continue to be the thing of legend. After the Desolation of Geroia, he and his comrades accompanied Rurik the Conqueror to Gränsland, and were at the forefront of the conquest.
Polkan was known to have taken part in the destruction of the Tanakovic tribe, having witnessed the Great Forest burn.

Recent Events

During their trek through the Dreamlands, Jaakob was attacked by Polkan's spirit, which assaulted him and disappeared after defeating him in combat.
Later, after the purification of the Great Forest following the party's return from the Dreamlands, Polkan was able to break free of the tower that kept him imprisoned. Though he was unable to communicate with the party - as he spoke ancient Geroian - Vulcan was able to establish a telepathic link with him. The party learned that Polkan seeks vengeance against the people that imprisoned him: his old horobr comrades.
Despite refusing to travel with the party and disgustedly calling Antares and Evia "loincloths", Polkan offered the party an amulet capable of summoning his spirit in battle as thanks for their rescuing him.
