The Compass

The Compass is a secretive organization dedicated to the protection of mankind and ensuring the 'correct' fulfilment of prophecies. It is led by a mysterious person only referred to as The Veiled One

Prophecies

The presence of threads of magic in the world enables information to travel not only across space but also across time. Those who attune to such threads can capture the events and create prophecies. However, magic is a fickle friend and once you have the knowledge of a prophecy you can attempt to change it to alter the course of the future. Reality tends to resist this so it is not common knowledge but the are those both on the side of good and on the side of evil who are aware and therefore make it their business to find prophecies to guide them to their conclusion as well as to know what prophecies the other side has access to.

The Compass

The compass is such an organization. Led by the great seer known as the veiled one they attempt to lead the world where it is supposed to go and to prevent outside interference. They are not necessarily good but nor are they evil. They stand neutral in defence of fate and the many complexities of it's branchings.
They have many agents in the world that do their bidding.

The Veiled One

The leader of the compass is known as the veiled one. She is a seer of great power but in order to see the future and the past she has had to sacrifice her vision of the present and therefore wears a veil over her face.

The Rose

In order to act with impunity and avoid detection the senior members of the Compass all reside in a pocket dimension known as the Rose. There are 3 mages whose sole duty is to maintain the dimension.
