Backstory
He actually has family ties to Ulek, in that his grandfather was a mariner from Mandek who met his grandmother on one of his journeys. His family was not rich but they were comfortably off, with his father settling in the Erestean Capitol to run a small merchant company focusing on tea and coffee trade. Admon is the second eldest of 7 siblings(3 brothers and 4 sisters) and therefore was not the one who would inherit the company but he started to work as an assistant at a young age. Admon learned working the books and negotiation with customers from his father and has many fond memories from this time. At one point he was assigned by his father to take care of 3 of his younger siblings and show them the ropes on one of their merchant ships. As they anchored at a small beach on the southern shore of lake Myrnen, he took his siblings to shore to see explore the scenery. After wandering around they found a small cave which they decided to explore, however what they didn't know was that the cave was used as a lair by an owlbear. The owlbear returned and attacked the small party, almost instantly killing the younger siblings and Admon only just managed to get away, but not before it slashed him across his head and face. He managed to stumble back to the ship , falling unconscious on the beach. For three weeks he was delirious and even though he recovered the wound continues to pain him to this day. The shame he felt at this event made him break most contact with his family and he started making his own way through public management using the skills his father had taught him . Eventually his career dedication led to him being appointed the ambassador to Ulek. His selfmade career means that he has a certain amount of contempt for those that get appointed simply because they are sons of nobles and not for their professional qualifications.
