The First
In the Ancient kingdoms of Gudai, one of the only legends to survive since its inception is that of First and the creation of the world as we know it. The Legend goes thusly:
The Age of the First
Out of the Void came the First, and from Her came all that is. She created a fluid world which shifted and changed according to Her thoughts and desires and found that She enjoyed the chaotic landscape. But in time She grew board of the formless world, and desired a modicum of stability. So She created 22 Beings which were Her opposite, stable and orderly, and They were Her Second. For a time it was good, the chaos of First tempered by Her Second. But there were other things in the Void, and from it came a thing of hunger who, unable to create for itself, began to gnaw at the roots of the world. First desired to protect the world She created and battled the Elder Thing. In the fight First succeeded in repelling the beast, but was struck by an attack which pierced through the barrier between the world and the cold Void, wounding First and splitting the world in two. The Thing Began to slumber wrapped around the barrier of the world, waiting to regain its strength. First found Herself weakened as well, but also that She had become corrupted the attack. First collected the evil within her and expelled it, forming the now two pieces of the around it, creating a prison out of reality itself. The Age of the Second
The now weakened First Being receded into into seclusion to regain Her strength in preparation for the eventual confrontation, but before She did so She gave Her Second a mission, to keep the Chained Evil from escaping and taking over Her precious creation, and to foster the growth of all creation such that it would create strength to aid Her when the Beast awakens. The Second were determined to uphold the duties given by Their Creator, and looked to world beneath them to begin. But, to their horror they found that the Chained Evil had already began seeping its influence into creation. One of the Second, The World, worried that if they did not build a barrier between themselves and creation below them that they themselves would be corrupted. Another, The Fool, argued that action had to be taken immediately to prevent creation from being lost, and came down from the sky to push back the corruption. Nine of the other Second began to build a set of spheres which would encapsulate creation.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
