Vastoria

On the fantasy world of Vastoria, each of the gods put forth their own ideals and personalities upon the world in the form of peoples, creatures and artifacts meant to embody those traits - mighty deserts and volcanos for the god of strength, deep caves and forgotten treasures for the god of secrets, ever shifting oceans for the god of change. The gods each drive their own chosen beings to thrive both individually and, in some cases, over others in what they call the Great Game, seeing the success of their creations as proof of the merits in their own approaches.   However, this ongoing struggle is complicated by the presence of magic - a gift from a divine trickster, which granted the mortal races the power to reshape the world as the gods would. Through the numerous ideologies of each race have led to many different forms of magic, from mystical clairvoyance to earth splitting combat spells, it is not hard to learn from many of these different branches of magic, confusing the gods as their creations mix and reshape their ideologies, or twist their teaching to suit their own, warped agendas.   Furthermore, the gods of Vastoria are not the only ones out there - elder beings from distant, forgotten stars and vast, strange entities lurk in the great cosmos, stepping across worlds like a child treading on an anthill. Though some worship these beings, holding them to be older and greater than the gods of their own world, such worship is scarce and secret - for the Vastorian pantheon, despite their differences, share a dread that, one day, these Elder Beasts will turn their sights on Vastoria...
