Ikana

A sprawling metropolis of polished stone and bright colours. It sits at the base of the Ikana Mountains. In recent years the capital has become a hub for many of the religions of Etraas, with people making pilgrimages to worship at the temples. The temples themselves take up most of the central district of the capital, large towering buildings covered in iconography from there respective Gods. Although separated from the rest of Etraas until just over 300 years ago, Ikana is welcoming to the various tourists that visit.
Ikana has a large military presence, necessary because of frequent attacks by large raiding parties. It is not unheard of to be awoken in the middle of the night to the sound of fighting at the city gates. The soldiers are meticulously trained and have a reputation of being some of the most formidable fighters on Etraas.
The city does not have an apparent class system, with most people living in the same kind of luxury. The religious nature of the city lends itself to a more modest lifestyle. The homes and buildings of Ikana are made of stone cut from the Ikana Mountains. The architecture is simple and without much flair, but many homes are draped in cloths of various colours to make them stand out.
The warmer climate allows many plants to grow, and many animals can be found here which don't exist in other parts of Etraas. This abundance of unique fruit and meats— along with the skill of there chefs, gives Ikana a reputation as the food capital of Etraas.
The Highlord Akatsuki Ito rules the city from palace, which is situated directly next to the garrison. The palace itself isn't much to behold, looking more like a larger version of any other buidling in the city. The one defining feature is the purple cloth trimmed with gold hanging above the palace gates— the colours of the Sinfash royal family.
