Varden

Varden is a medieval fantasy world with lots of inspiration and similarities from real-world history and media. There are many similarities to real historic empires, such as Centurions, Spartans, Vikings, Knights, Samurai, Terracotta Warriors, Shaolin Monks and many more.   The world was created from spirit energy, an element that is very finite and very rare to find in the present day. Very soon after the world was formed, the gods were born. The gods were all unique compared to each other as they all had elements they were in control of.   Currently, the world has reached the year 4120 AC (After Creation) and 5 main factions fight for full military, government, and religious control over the world: The Order of Seven, The Northern Raiders, The Yulin Dynasty, The Hinami Empire, and The First World Order.   From the background, the Gods pull strings to achieve their own goals and are more than happy to ruin people's lives if that's what it takes. However, there are a few Gods that rely on humans to keep the world in check, most notably: Oahn, The God of Spirits and Oaris, The Goddess of Storms.   The Gods are willing spectators when it comes to anything outside The Spirit World due to the human revolution, they are not all-knowing and only have information passed on by their human servants. Oahn has predicted that one day the world will be in full anarchy and will ruin the balance between the good and bad.   © Marcus Tory 2019
