Francien

Francien is the native tongue of the Norman and Bourguignon peoples inhabiting the forests and coastal regions of the [PLACEHOLDER] sub-region of the Achaean continent. It is a language that has been constantly evolving from its proto-tribal routes, reaching today a somewhat different form.   Characteristics
The Francien language is a fairly complex language that is often thought to be poetic in nature, but its pronunciation is relatively simple compared to its vocabulary and syntax. It is a language of relatively soft phonetics and many vowels. This same complex structure allows its nuances to be consigned to text more easily than other languages like the Seelie. While it appears daunting to learn from the outside, it is not so difficult once one has gotten a solid grasp on the basics.   Use and Spread
Francien is the common tongue spoken across the peasantry of most of the Seilurid Empire and is effectively the language of day-to-day running of all events, although legal and specialized texts will usually be written in Seelie instead. Strongpoints of the Francien language are the Val-de-Loire, Loire Profonde, Côte d'Émeraude, Côte des Glaces, Val-Providence and Cap des Brûmes provinces, with some holdouts in the Îles Vagabondes province and the oversea Côte des Ombres colony. Due to the importance of Bourgignon trade routes and Norman exploration voyages, Francien is relatively common across the greater continents of Achaea and Bahili
