Prachav

Prachav is a significant port city in the with a particular reputation for ethnic diversity. Although the city pays taxes to the monarchy and inhabitants must obey the same laws as anywhere else in the nation, it has retained financial independence and sets its own trade regulations and lower tariffs than most other nearby ports.

Notable areas

• Bladehaven, which houses the armoury, a range of smithies and weapon shops, and taverns popular with mercenaries and adventurers;
• Crafts Ward, home to a great many small businesses and workshops;
• Darkrun, the poorest district;
• High Towers, where the rich and powerful live;
• Marketside, where individuals can find someone to buy or sell almost anything;
• The Outer Circle, a residential area between the two sets of city walls;
• Prachavi Docks, the economic hub of this port city;
• Riverside, the area on either side of the River Chlitok;
• Scholar's Folly, which was formerly a school but is now in a state of lawlessness and disrepair;
• West Ward, a major residential area.

Defences

There are around 500 full-time guards employed to keep the peace, mostly in the wealthier areas, but enough weapons to arm most of the adult population in case of outside attack. The city is surrounded by a double ring of walls.
