Vanheim

Vanheim is the nexus of creation. The river that flows through the universe ends and starts at the spiritual essence of Vanheim, and its inhabitants shape and mold existence from dreams and nightmares. Gods are worshipped, treasures are stolen and buckles are swashed all along the continent, but the land is ancient, and terrors hide behind every corner.   Known history stretches back the Althoran peoples landfall in Vangard, and from them sprang the ancient empire of Althor. The crown jewel of the ancient empire was the Grand City of Ulthuar; a wonder of engineering, architecture and social advancements. Before tragedy shook the entire continent, the Althoran Empire stretched from coast to coast. The grand empire ruled from the sweltering Hebkharan Sands, to the frigid wastes of the Utfjord Isles.   Millennia have passed since the fall of the ancient empire, and lesser men and nations have emulated them since. The closest to realise the grandeur of old, perverted as it was, was the dread conqueror Nahrkin, and his foul legacy have tainted most of northern Vangard in a mockery of the Althor reign.
