The Summer Maiden
The Summer Maiden is crowned at the The Festival of Cirra following her journey along the River Vane on The Cirra.
She symbolises the start of summer and the growing season.
Once the trees start turning red in autumn and the last harvest is brought in, the people of Vanelle celebrate The Death of Summer. A festival during which they burn effigies of the Summer Maiden to thank Vandra for the bounties summer brought, and to welcome Hem into their homes to protect them from a harsh winter.
