Sybilla Andros
Her Royal Majesty, Queen of Andaria
The current ruler of Andaria, and until she bears a female child the last Queen of a lineage dating back over a thousand years. Ascended to the throne shortly before the Blight at the very young age of 20 after the assassination of her mother, the Mad Queen Elysande. In her short rule she has salvaged her broken country and commissioned the building of the shining city of New Andar, as well as championing those who would seek to undo the Blight. Sybilla is well-loved by her people, who it is clear she cares for greatly, and she shows great potential as a ruler - however as the youngest daughter of the prior Queen she was never given the teachings afforded her older sisters that gave one a grounding in how to rule a country, so she relies heavily on both her husband and her carefully-selected cabinet of advisors to steer her in the right direction.
Sybilla only has two living relatives - one, an aging aunt by the name of Lorelia who lives with her in the Crystal Palace, the other a mystery brother who was stolen away at birth. Sybilla herself knows his name and whereabouts, but has accepted his wishes to continue his ordinary life; to reveal his identity is a crime akin to treason in her eyes, and it comes with a harsh punishment. Before the cataclysmic events of ten years ago, the queen also had two elder sisters who were killed during the war of succession that also took her mothers life.
Two years ago Sybilla married a man of the Zolus, Prince Regent Sin'del, in what is widely seen as a political marriage to soothe the fractured relations between the two nations. In truth Sin'del was the man sent to warn Sybilla about the attack on her capital, and the two of them gained a mutual trust and understanding over the course of their time planning the evacuation of Andar. Only last year the couple welcomed their first child, Crown Prince Elsan.
